White on White Christmas

We have a White on White Christmas challenge for you this week at Holly Jolly.

I have not tried my hand at a White on White card before but I have seen many inspirational cards around.

I have used an embossing folder, the ‘merry’ from the Expressions Thinlits, some snowflakes and ribbon and this is what I came up with:

CAGI Halloween

In Australia Halloween is not really a big thing and with our challenge this week at Come and Get It being Halloween Themed I was wondering what I could use to create a project.

I stumbled upon the free digital image at Squiggleyfly and it is perfect for this challenge and the spooky Halloween Theme.

The layout of my card has been inspired by Sweet Stop Sketches and this is unfortunately there last sketch so if you are looking for a sketch please go over have a look maybe you can use it for our challenge :)

Also I sponged a little of Grey chalk over the white background to make it a little darker behind the image unfortunately you cannot see this on the photo.

Here is my card:

Halloween Characters

When you think of Halloween Characters what characters do you think of?  I think of Witches, Spiders, Ghosts and Goolies.

Halloween Characters is the theme of our new challenge at Crafty Creations this week and I have created a 3D project for the challenge.

Some little spiders which were fun and quick to create and the best thing about them is that there is a chocolate coin in the middle between the two punch layers.

So you get a fun little spider with chocolate treat!

I was wondering how I could take a photo of these little character for the challenge but when I went to the Supermarket at lunch time they had some spiders web and spiders in a bag so I draped the web and placed some other spiders around an orange tin bucket I had in my stash.

Here they are:

Supplies:

Card: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories:  1-3/4” (4.4 cm) Scallop Circle Punch, Photo Corners Punch (retired), Owl Builder Punch, White Gel Pen, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

I am going to give the web and the other spiders to my Mum as she will place them at the front door to maybe catch a few people out – lol!

I would like to enter these little guys into the following challenges:

All Crafts Monthly Challenge – Anything but a Card

C is for Challenge - #8 Halloween

My daughter also created these little guys and took them to school for her teachers, so they are a great project if you have children.

Christmas Thanks

We have a new challenge at Holly Jolly which has been chosen by Julie.

Our challenge is to create  a Christmas project with “Thanks” .

My card has Christmas thanks on the outside which I created on the computer and punched our with a tag punch.

The layout is inspired by the Clean and Simple sketch #262

Here is my card:

P1010671_edited-1

Supplies:

Stamp set: Snowflake Soiree
Card: Island Indigo, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Ink: Island Indigo, Coastal Cabana, Smokey Slate
Accessories:  Tag Punches (retired), Island Indigo & Whisper White Retired Ribbons, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

Love the colours together and love those sketches at Clean and Simple as you can create lovely cards so quickly.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Clean and Simple Challenge- #262 Sketch

One Stitch at a Time Challenge – # 186 Anything Goes

Polka Doodle Challenge – # 42 Christmas is Coming

Fairytale Challenge - #78 Bingo (Snowflakes, Winter Time, Gemstones)

Perfect Sentiments Challenge – # 96 Clean and Simple Thank You

The snowflakes on this card are far from the weather we are having here at the moment, we have many bushfires out of control and many people without homes.  Just devastating.

I wish you and your family a safe week – thank you for visiting.

Under the Sea

Hi everyone,

Our new challenge at Come and Get It has me humming a song from the film A Little Mermaid as our Theme this week is:

Animals in Water/Sea Critters

Our challenge is also sponsored by Bugaboo and I chosen a Crab image so that makes me think of the song even more!  If you know this movie or the song you will understand what I mean.

The layout of my card has been inspired by the current sketch at Deconstructed Sketches which can be found here.  It’s a great layout which I have added a little too ie the Ribbon with the Brad.

I have also used some paper piecing as I found some great retired DSP that I thought suited this cute little digital image.

Here is my card:

P1010668_edited-1

Supplies:

Stamp set: Bugaboo Crab Umbrella
Card: Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Basic Grey, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Accessories:  Circle Punch, Embossing Folders: Square Lattice & Perfect Polka Dots, Pool Party Ribbon (retired), DSP (retired), Window Frames Collection Framelits, Brad (retired), Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

The photo makes it seems like this little guy has some studs on his umbrella but they are just some bling!

I would like to add this card to the following challenge:

Catch the Bug Challenge – Bingo (Ribbon, Orange & Players Choice - Bling)

Deconstructing Sketch Challenge – # 123 Sketch

Hope to see you again soon.

Inspired by A Christmas Carol

If you had to create a Christmas project what Christmas Carol would inspire you?  This is our challenge over at Holly Jolly this week.

I went hunting in my stash for some Christmas Stampers Anonymous Stamps that I had purchased a long time ago but had not inked yet because I knew there was a wonderful reindeer image in the set.  There was and I teamed the image up with some trees from the same set.

I had quickly gone to the shops before I created my card and noticed a Christmas card for sale that was Black, Silver and had a gold glittery reindeer on it.  Very non-traditional but that is what has inspired my colours.

I have used Basic Grey, Basic Black, Whisper White and added a touch of Real Red.  Can you guess why?

Here is my card:

P1010663_edited-1

Supplies:

Stamp set: Reindeer Flight Stampers Anonymous,
Card: Basic Black, Basic Grey, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Grey, Versamark
Accessories:  1-3/8” (3.5 cm) Circle Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Cupcake Builder Punch, Non-SU Silver Embossing Powder, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Real Red Satin Ribbon (retired), Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

The trees were stamped in Versamark over some already stamped trees in Basic Grey and then embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.

I had also added some clear embossing powder over the Basic Grey when I stamped the Reindeer.  I was going to put a bow on the card but I like how the red breaks up the two parts of the card and the sentiment just seemed the last touch.

I would also like to add this card to the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps Challenge - #67 Christmas is Coming

QKR Stampede Challenge - #60 Anything Goes with Circles

Charisma Cardz Challenge - #39 Animals & Mini DT Call

My Heart Pieces Challenge – Anything Goes

Southern Girls Challenge – Sing, Sing Song Sing Out Loud

Deep Ocean Challenge - #62 Christmas is Round the Corner

Hope your week is turning out to be a good one! Thank you for visiting and take care.
