In the Garden

Hello and thank you for visiting.

I hope that your weekend is going well and that you are doing fine :)

I have been a little unwell lately but I am on the mend.

I am wanting to let you know about our new challenge at Come and Get It which is themed: In the Garden and is sponsored by Paper Shelter.

For my card I have used one of the Paper Shelter images called in the Sweet Gardener and I have added some extra flowers plus a sentiment that reads “Wishing You Sunshine all Year Through”.

The Sweet Gardener image is pre-coloured and I just love the bright fresh colours so I wanted to create a layout that showed them all off.

Here is my card:

Ribbon & Bows

One of my favourite embellishments is ribbon and then creating bows so I am hosting the new challenge over at Come and Get It for the next week and so I have chosen this as the theme for the challenge:

Ribbon & Bows

So if you we would love to see you there if you get a chance plus you could win a wonderful prize from our sponsor Stamping Boutique.

I have used a Stamping Boutique image called Smoochie and coloured her in with my Copic markers.

The layout for my card has been inspired by the current challenge at Sketch and Stash Challenge and I have used some DSP which retired called More Amore.  I just loved the colours in this paper plus there were some die cut hearts in the pack.  I have used about 4 of these hearts to create the border behind the image.

I have also used some flowers (non-SU) from my stash and the wonderful retired satin ribbon Pretty in Pink for the ribbon and created two bows.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Sketched Birthday stamp set and has been die cut using the Bitty Banners die.

I have also used the Scallop Trim Border punch, Large Scallop Edgelits die as well as one of the embossing folders from the Delicate Designs set.

Here is my card:

Hello and welcome to my post to tell you about the new challenge at Crafty Creations and share my card.

We have a fabulous Birthday Theme for the next two weeks and our challenge is sponsored by Beccy’s place.

I have created a CAS card and the colours have been inspired by the Cas-ual Friday Challenge which is to use two shades of Grey.

The stamp sets I have used are Create A Cupcake & Sketched Birthday.

I have created a border on each piece of cardstock with the Scallop Trim Border punch and the colours I have used for the two shades of Gray are: Basic Gray and Smoke Slate plus I have used Very Vanilla and Crisp Cantaloupe.

So here is my card:

Christmas Fairies and Angels

We have a wonderful themed challenge this week at Holly Jolly.  Our challenge theme is:

Christmas Fairies and Angels

to me Christmas is one of those times you can believe in anything so why not Fairies and Angels.

Our challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo and I have used a Bugaboo image called Winters Fairy, which I have coloured in with my copic markers and used some Winter Frost Speciality DSP. I just love the colours in this DSP and so I have used Coaster Cabana, Whisper White and Smoky Slate.

The image has been die cut with the Ovals Collection die and I cut an extra oval out which has been cut in half and added behind the image.  I have also die cut the Snowflake Sprig Memory Box die and added it to the card.

The ribbon is the Whisper White Organza ribbon and the border edge has been created with the Scallop Edge punch.  There is a touch of bling on the two Smoky Slate snowflakes.

I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the trim of the hat, jacket and wings of the angel but it is a little hard to see in the photo.

Here is card:

Flowers

Hello and thanks for visiting!

Just a quick post to tell you about about new challenge at Come and Get It and our challenge theme is:

Flowers

and we have two sponsors Fred She Said and Digi Stamps 4 Joy.

I have created a birthday card using the new Spiral Flower Die from the Seasonal Catalogue and I watched a video on Patty Bennett’s blog on how Patty used the die, you can view the link here.

Being my first attempt I am happy with the flowers but I need to practice more on getting some smaller buds and also with some other ways to create the flowers maybe different colours and more sanding.

The layout of my card has been inspired by the sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Here is my card:

P1010844_edited

Here is a close up of the flowers which show you the two different cardstock.  I used Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals.

Inkspirational Colour Challenge

Hi everyone,

We have a great new fortnightly Colour challenge at Inkspirational.  So what are the colours:

Purple, Green and White

You can pick two or three of the colours to use but your project should be limited to these colours only.

At first I just couldn’t decide what to do with these colours but I believe with every colour challenge it is about the balance of the colours.

I knew I wanted a simple layout so I went searching for current sketch and found the sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts and I have used this sketch for the inspiration of the layout.

I love my butterflies so they have featured too and I wanted to send the card to my sister, so the sentiment of “thinking of you” was a perfect fit.

Here is my card:

P1010843_edited

The colours that I have used are Wild Wasabi, Concord Crush and Whisper White.

The DSP is from my stash and the punches used are the Scallop Trim Border and Modern Label punches. Oh and don’t forget the bling!

Here is the sketch from Pals Paper Arts
