CAGI Recipe

Hello everyone!

Hope your day is wonderful, we have a very warm 31 degrees here today and with no breeze it is rather warm but we are nearly in Summer.

Besides the weather I wanted to share with you my card for the new challenge at Come and Get It this week.  The theme is:

Recipe – Diecut, Ribbon, Bling and DSP

Plus our Sponsors for this challenge are

THE STUDIO...

and

I have used a Lacy Sunshine Image called Alexis Cherished Wings and coloured it in using Copic Markers.

The colours for my image were inspired by the beautiful butterfly paper and I just love this Martha Stewart board punch which was perfect to frame the image and background. I have used some Whisper White Organza Ribbon over the seam of where the two papers meet to cover the seam but also add a break in the colours of the paper.

I wanted to keep the butterflies going off the page so I have used the  SU Beautiful Wings Embosslits die and the sentiment is from the Perfect Pennants stamp set.

I have added some Dazzling Diamonds to the wings for a sparkle effect and some rhinestones to the Butterflies plus the Butterfly Paper has a glitter on it which unfortunately you cannot see from the pictures.

Here is my card:

V is for Vibrant

Another post for today to let you know the new theme for ABC Challenges and our theme for the next two weeks is:

V for Vibrant

A fun theme and one that if you like me is out of your comfort zone.

We have two sponsors for our challenge Oakpond Creations and Marker Pop.

I have used a Oakpond Creations image called Peek a Boo Dragonflies and coloured it in with Copics.

I have recently been to a Copic Feathering Class so I have used the technique we used in class to blend the two colours together on the wings of the image. Plus I had a go at creating some clouds! My friend Julie who runs the classes will be glad that these two techniques have been used!

The papers are a recent find too and I just love the purple paper with the fabulous glitter swirl!

The die cuts used are Spellbinders Eyelet Circle Die and SU Circle Collection.  The papers are Hobby Fun Co – SP277 (purple with sparkle) and Mind’s Eye “Hello”.

A little bling and here is my card:

Another card to share with you today, which I created for our new challenge at ABC Challenges.

Our theme is “U for Unique” or an Anything Goes theme.

The image used is a Magnolia image called “Ribbon Tilda”, which has been stamped on Copic Xpress cardstock and coloured in with Copic Markers.  I have also used some Magnolia DSP that I recently purchased and it goes wonderfully with this image.

I have gone very girly, pinks, lace, flowers but that is ok.  I have also created lots of layers using retired Rose Red cardstock and Crumb Cake cardstock.  The sentiment is a Lilly of the Valley sentiment.

The dies used are from Spellbinders Nestabilities Lacey Circles, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Venetian Motifs, Memory Box Lace Circle and SU Circles Collection Die.  The paper flower and lace are from my stash.

Halloween is not a big thing here in Australia but I picked up some great Graphic 45 Alice in Wonderland Halloween Themed paper recently and thought it would be perfect to use for this challenge.

No stamping on my card which would be a first for along time but there is lots of pumpkins and orange.
