Red, White and/or Blue

A new day and a new challenge at Crafty Creations!

 

Our theme for the next two weeks is Red, White and/or Blue.

 

Our challenge is sponsored by Freshly Brewed.

 

I have decided to go with Red and White and make a fairly CAS card.

 

Here is my card:

I have paper pieced the dress with some Paper from my stash and the lovely Die is by Nestabilities called Decorative Labels Eight.

 

The sentiment is from the SU set A Dozen Thoughts and punched out with the small Ovals punch.

The Red Rhinestones were a great find and the cardstock used is retired SU Ridinghood Red.

 

The copic colours used to colour the image were:

Colour Inspiration

 

Our new challenge at Southern Girls Challenge is a wonderful picture inspiration and I am sure that you will want to join us.

 

We have Lacy Sunshine and Oddball Art sponsoring our challenge too!

 

I have used an Oddball Art image called Josie & the Butterflies and I have coloured the image in with Copic Markers.

 

I have used some wonderful paper from my stash which I thing go wonderfully with the colours in the photo.   One is from KaiserCraft Needle & Thread Collection  and the other is a scrap piece.

 

The cardstock used is Naturals White and Cantaloupe Crisp.  The dies used is a new call by Nestabilities called Fleur de Elegance and the SU Ovals die.

Christmas Tags

Our new theme at Holly Jolly for the next two weeks is Tags and we have some great sponsors so please come and join us.

 

The sweet image I am using is from Crafty Creations and is called Cold Christmas.  The colours have been inspired by the Christmas paper from my stash.

 

I created a card using the Scallop Tag Topper punch and I have added some Dazzling Diamonds with Crystal Effects on the ear muffs and hand warmers to add a some sparkle.

The lace is SU Sahara Sand and there are some random spots of Liquid Pearls in White Opal, Platinum Pearls and Ballerina. The snowflakes from the retired Frosted Sequins Embellishment set.

 

The sentiment is a Lilly of the Valley sentiment and the snowflakes down on the Sahara Sand cardstock is a Martha Stewart punch called Winter Snow.

Animals

 

Hi everyone

 

At Come and Get It we have a fun new challenge – Animals!

 

We have some super sponsors and I have used an image from Melonheadz Reindeer Bundle, so I have made a Christmas card with this cute image.

 

Here is my card:

These images are so easy to colour and then create a Christmas Card.  The inside of the stars have a stamped image from the SU Bright & Beautiful  set and they were die cut with using the SU Stars Framelit die. 

 

The sentiment is from the More Merry Messages stamp set.  The paper is by Min’s Eye and is called Sleigh Bells Ring.

 

The lace and bling are from my stash and I have also used the SU Scallop Edge punch.

Embossing

Wednesday already and a new challenge to share with you which we have over at Crafty Creations.

Our new challenge is Embossing, dry or heated we do not mind as long as you share it with us.

I have gone a bit vintage with card and use some lovely paper from Kaisercraft from the Oh So Lovely Collection #P1791 Women.

I love the big rose flowers and the soft warm colours, this has inspired the colours I have used.  The base cardstock is Mossy Meadows as well as Sahara Sand, Confetti White and Pretty in Pink.

The beautiful sentiment is from Kaisercraft also called Blue Bay.  Both butterfly dies are from the SU Butterflies Thinlits set and the smaller image has a stamped image also from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.

The embossing folder used are from the retired Delicate Designs and the large scallop edgelits die.  I have also daubered the embossing with Sahara Sand ink.  The Ribbon is retired Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon.

Frame It



Hello everyone and thanks for visiting.


We have a new challenge over at Holly Jolly where we are getting ahead start on our Christmas cards.

The theme for the next two weeks is Frame It, so we would love to see how you interpret this.

We have some great sponsors too and I have used an image from A Day for Daisies called Love Angel.

I have framed the image with a die cut from Nestabilities called Captivating Squares and the image has been coloured with Copic Markers.

The paper used is a retired SU paper and ribbon are from my stash.  The cardstock used was Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Real Red.

The sentiment is a Lily of the Valley sentiment and has been stamped in Real Red and punched out using the 1 3/4 " Circle punch.

Paper Piecing

Hi everyone,

Over at Come and Get It our new challenge has started and this week we are Paper Piecing.

We would love for you to join us and have some fun with this challenge theme.

I have used a Stamping Boutique image called The Mermaid Dawn and I have paper pieced the tail of the mermaid using some paper from my stash by MME Cut and Paste by Jen Allyson #CP1006.

The rest of the image and surrounds have been coloured in with Copic Markers.

Here is my card:





The reeds in the background have been stamped with Coastal Cabana ink using a retired SU stamp Inspired by Nature.  

The cardstock used is Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake with X-Press It Blending cardstock.

There is some Dazzling Diamonds on the Mermaids tail and randomly around the image to add some sparkle.

I also added some pearls to the side of the image and the Thank You sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp set.

The dies used were from SU Circles Collection, Bitty Banners, Window Frames Collection and Spellbinders Nestablities Standard Circles Large.

K is for Kritters


Hello from a very cool Sydney,  Winter has certainly arrived.


Time for a new challenge at ABC Challenge and our challenge theme is one we are sure you will love.

 
K is for Kritters
so we are looking for an animal/bug or insect to be included on your creations.

 

Our challenge is sponsored by Sherri Baldy and I used the stamp image called ‘Wee Winged One”.

The image was stamped on Xpress It Blended cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured in with Copic Markers.

 I have used to papers from my stash one from Prima Marketing Inc Almanac Collection Libre and the  other Fabscraps Wild Tunes.

 For my little Kritters, I have added some butterflies.

 Here is my card:

 

I love the end result and the butterflies have been created by two different dies both from Joy Craft.   The butterfly border is #6002/0251 and the two little butterflies is #6002/0322.

The other dies used is the SU Circles and Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Circle Large.

The beautiful sentiment is a Kaisercraft stamp called “Blue Bay”.
